Qualifying for a Loan
Do You Qualify? – Getting a Loan 101
I’ve heard a lot of talk about how difficult it is to get a home mortgage. I disagree! Banks and mortgage companies are actively lending. Don’t let all the hype scare you away from talking to a lender and taking advantage of what may very well be one of the best times to buy a new home in recent history.
I work with a number of experienced Loan Officers who would be happy to discuss obtaining a loan for a new home, your first home or an investment property. FHA, VA, Conventional, Jumbo …. call me at [512.539.7547] for the names of lenders that fit your needs.
When’s the best time in the home buying process to meet with a Loan Officer? NOW! That way you’ll know how much of a mortgage you are eligible for and if there is anything on your credit report that needs repair or any item that you need to dispute.
The Loan Officer will most likely ask you for the following:
- 2 years most recent W-2′s
- 2 most recent pay stubs
- 2 months most recent bank statements for all checking, savings and retirement accounts
- most recent mortgage statements on all real estate owned
- photo ID
